Coordinate of the Month

Today was the first nice day in a long time, and therefore the majority of my coordinates during February were casual (I did not really want to end up similar to Anna in Frozen on that lake). As such, I just went with a theme of casuals that could be layered onto or under to keep warm. At the same time, I still wanted to look nice for Valentine's Day, so at least one coord was geared towards that holiday.

February Coord 1 - Bitter and Sweet

• Angelic Pretty Melty Ribbon Chocolate collar JSK replica in mocha (not sure who made it, bought secondhand)

• Angelic Pretty Melty Royal Chocolate barrette in mocha
• Offbrand brown sweater

• Offbrand chocolate bar ring, chocolate purse and chocolate macaron coin purse

Rather than do a red or hearts-themed coord (although next year I wanna try a Cupid coordinate), I decided to try being a walking box of chocolate XD. It's my favorite part of Valentine's Day. Since many chocolate prints are kind of hard to buy for me at the moment, I decided to go with a high-quality replica; it's pretty difficult to tell it apart from the original (it's even got the pocket), though there are some minor differences. Someday I hope to get the real one, but until then this will do. The sweater is also pretty roomy so if I need to layer under I can. The purse also has a chocolate scent to it.

February Coord 2 - Ivory Tower 

Yes, that's a Falkor the Luckdragon plushie ^_^

 This is by far my most comfortable coord, and one of my favorites as The Neverending Story is both my favorite movie and book of all time. I had always loved both versions, and wondered if it was possible to have a custom dress or set made. Luckily, I found EatMeInkMe on Etsy (great indie brand, I did a review once here) and she was able to create the set for me. The print is based on a panoramic shot of the Ivory Tower from the first film. The purse was also found on Etsy, which I was thrilled about, since I wasn't sure if there had ever been a book purse made for this particular book. The Falkor plushie was just a Christmas gift, but he obviously fits with the coord theme XD
